Toddler Cape

I have been making girl/boy capes for a while now for about 3+ year old kids. They are a big hit for birthday presents. After making a cape this week, I had just enough material left for a tiny cape. Titus just turned 16 mo. I didn't think he was really old enough to enjoy the cape, but since the material was not really good for much else, I made him a cape.

He LOVES it. He comes up to me and says "Peese" asking for it. When I put it on him, he just starts running around. He wants to chase and run. I finally took him outside so he could really run for a while. We ran all the way to the pond and fed the ducks. Warning: when I take it off, he throws a fit :o

I'm off for a run!

A bite for the ducks, a bite for me...I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

I guess the capes can definately be used for younger kids! More about Sew Tiny Boutique's Capes

Handmade Burp Cloth and More

I've been experimenting more with the handmade burp cloth. It's fun to be able to make everything coordinate. The "C" is on the back of the pants, I just turned them over so that it could be seen.

My favorite boy set right now is the cowboy set. This family was doing a western nursery, so I knew this was the set for them!

These are not for sale anytime soon, but I had to share. I made my first diaper and wipes holder :) Seriously, I am so intimidated by button holes, but I thought this needed a big red button. Titus is getting close to not needing the diaper bag and I'm getting close to getting to carry a purse again. We still let him have a pacifier, so I made a little pocket for that too.

Big Sis

Ava's Adventures requested a Big Sis shirt for their daughter who will soon be a big sis. Baby is coming in the spring, so mom requested a small flower to dot the "i" of Sis. Here it is :) Enjoy, and we can't wait to meet baby.

Sew Tiny Boutique!

Thanks to all of you that sent e-mails and posted on the blog with name ideas. There were many that were good.

Congratulations to "Ava's Adventures!" I loved Sew Tiny the minute I saw it. It was the perfect name. This mom is expecting a baby girl soon, so I bet she'll love having the free onesie.

Thanks again to all who participated!

Give Away! Free Custom Onesie or Tee

I'm going to be picking a business name here soon. I plan to get a "real" website after the first of the year. This one will continue as a sneak peek blog. My sewing started for fun, but now I'm doing so much that I need to get official. I am aiming to be up and running as an official business as of March.

I love the sewing, but I'm having such a hard time picking a name that I thought I'd do a give away. Here are a few existing business names that I like: Magic Moon, Tangerine Turtle, Cat and the Fiddle. I don't like names with sassy, bratty, or spoiled names. I'm not opposed to names with Lucy in the title, but so far I'm not getting anywhere with that either.

I'll pick a name on Jan 1. Please feel free to forward this to any creative ladies (or men?) you know. The winner will be announced on Jan. 1 and will get to pick any style of shirt or onesie. We'll design it and I'll ship it to you.

Please comment on the blog with your name ideas. You may list as many as you like. Good luck!

Example: Poopie Pants Productions, Jumping Caterpillar (see why I'm enlisting your help)

Elizabeth and Rachel

I made this dusty rose and light pink set for a mom who is really into nature and not crazy about the barbie pink stuff for little girls. I thought it turned out really cute.
Isn't it always cuter when it's for twins?

I'm convinced that God hasn't given me a girl because I would never get up from the sewing machine!

Introducing Pants!

These pants come in newborn on up through 18 mo. They are a new product for my line. These can be made to exactly match a shirt that has an applique font or design with the same fabric on the shirt and jeans. A tie belt made out of the same fabric will be available soon.
